Benefits of Hay for Livestock

Hay provides fibre that supports normal rumen function in cattle and other ruminants. It can be included in feeding programmes for dairy cows, beef cattle, sheep, and goats. The appropriate quantity and feeding programme depend on the animal’s age, production needs, and the quality of the hay.

For best results, store hay away from rain and ground moisture to help maintain its quality. Introduce it as part of a balanced ration that meets your animals’ nutritional requirements.
